Description

This repair request form is for Cousin-Trestec Atrax ropes only.This service is only available to customers residing  in France. It is imperative that you read all the conditions below. Sending your rope for repair constitutes acceptance of these terms.

To have a splice repaired at Hexarope, follow these simple steps:

Repair Request

Use the fields above to select :

  • The length of your rope (choose the length that is closest to the actual length of your rope)
  • The number of splices you wish to repair
  • The color of your Atrax rope

Payment for your repair

  • Add your selection to the shopping cart and proceed to payment as when you buy a product.

Shipment of the rope

  • Once payment has been confirmed, the Hexarope team will send you an email with a packing slip.
  • Print out the packing slip and pack your rope, then contact the carrier or collection point.

Make sure the rope is clean and in good condition. Any rope that is damaged or does not meet safety standards cannot be repaired.

Inspection and evaluation

  • On receipt of your rope, we will subject it to a rigorous inspection to ensure that it meets the safety requirements of EN 1891.
  • Once the inspection has been completed, the rope is either approved for repair or not.

Repair and testing

  • Splicing: Our splicers make the splice(s) in accordance with the rope manufacturer's instructions.
  • Compliance testing: The rope undergoes non-destructive strength testing to ensure that the splice meets safety standards.

Rope return

  • Once the repair is complete your rope is returned to you, ready for use.


Please note

Your rope must

  • Be clean and in good condition.
  • Include a serial number, manufacturing date, and the manufacturer’s name.
  • You must inform us of any significant incidents that may have affected the rope prior to its repair (fall, extreme load, etc.). We emphasize the importance and obligation of this declaration. Please note that a rope that has undergone a significant fall must be removed from your equipment and should no longer be used.

We will not carry out any repairs if :

  • Your rope is dirty and/or in poor condition:
  • Your rope shows areas of heavy abrasion or melting.
  • Your rope does not pass Hexarope's inspection.
  • Your rope shows evidence of contact with chemical compounds.
  • Your rope does not have a serial and/or batch number, manufacturer's name or date of manufacture.
  • Your rope has exceeded the manufacturer's maximum use-by date.
  • Your rope is not the model and brand indicated in your order.

If your rope is unsuitable for repair, we will return it to you and refund your order - ?30 corresponding to the shipping and return costs paid by Hexarope + ?10 inspection fee. The refund will be credited to your account within 15 days.

A new label will be affixed to your rope clearly indicating that it has been repaired.

Hexarope is an accredited and/or certified partner of the Teufelberger, Courant and Cousin-Trestec brands.

The following disclaimer outlines the terms and conditions governing the rope repair services provided by Hexarope. By sending your rope for repair, you acknowledge and accept these terms in full.

Inspection and Repair Limitations

Hexarope performs repairs based on the information provided by the customer and the results of our inspection process. While every effort is made to ensure the safety and functionality of the repaired rope, Hexarope cannot guarantee the structural integrity of the rope due to factors beyond our control, such as prior usage, exposure to extreme conditions, or undisclosed incidents (e.g., falls or extreme loads).

Customer Responsibility

It is the customer’s responsibility to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about the rope’s usage history and any incidents that may have affected its integrity.
  • Declare any significant events such as falls, exposure to extreme forces, or other damage prior to sending the rope for repair. Failure to do so may result in the repair being void of any implied assurances regarding safety or functionality.
  • Understand that a rope subjected to significant incidents such as a fall may no longer meet safety standards, even after repair.

Limitations of Use

Repaired ropes may not be suitable for all applications, particularly life-critical or high-risk activities. Hexarope strongly advises against using repaired ropes in situations where failure could result in serious injury or death. The customer assumes full responsibility for the rope’s use after repair.

Limitation of Liability

Hexarope is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of repaired ropes. By utilizing Hexarope’s repair services, the customer agrees to release Hexarope from any claims or liabilities arising from the performance or failure of the repaired rope.

Acceptance of Terms

Sending a rope to Hexarope for repair constitutes acceptance of this disclaimer and acknowledgment of the inherent risks associated with the use of repaired ropes.

Important Reminder:

A rope that has sustained significant damage, such as a fall or extreme load, should be retired from use. Repairing such a rope does not restore it to its original safety standards or guarantee future performance. Safety is paramount, and the decision to use a repaired rope lies solely with the customer.
