Description

Renowned for its unrivalled feel and incredible performance, Tachyon stands out as the ideal all-round rope for both mechanical and knotted systems, meeting the needs of climbers using both moving rope systems (MRS/DRT) and stationary rope systems (SRS/SRT).

The Tachyon rope is distinguished by its robust yet pliable build, incorporating a polyester sheath that notably enhances friction knot efficiency without causing pocketing. Its structure is centered around a polyamide core, which maintains a consistent diameter under load. With an optimal diameter of 11.5 mm, it is perfectly suited for arboricultural tasks, providing excellent grip and reducing fatigue during use.

Tachyon stands out for its exceptional qualities, including :

Minimal elongation under low loads, resulting in decreased bounce during ascent;
Significant elasticity under high loads to lessen the impact of falls;
Steady diameter throughout use, offering improved handling;
Straightforward splicability, enhancing its versatility and ease of use.

Tachyon rope is available with a Teufelberger-certified spLIFE splice. The splice is made by Hexarope splicers who are accredited and certified by Teufelberger and TUV.

Tachyon rope can also be supplied with a non-PPE sewn termination, in which case the termination cannot be considered an anchor point or personal protective equipment.

Warning: Some of our ropes are supplied with a non-PPE sewn termination. This termination is not designed for use as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and must never be used to support a person or ensure their safety at height. The non-PPE sewn termination is clearly marked on the rope with a specific label.
